I'm making a bash script to restart a game server on screen session with linux and I'm stuck at this point about a subtraction in my timer :

a-restart.sh: line 14: 60=30 : command not found » invalid command

With this code :

#!/bin/bash
timer=("30" "20" "5" "2" "1" "1" "1") #Time between each annoucer
totalTime="60" #Total time variable of the timer to be subtracted

#Loop to advert player from restarting
for time in ${timer[@]}
do
    $totalTime=$(($totalTime-$time)) #This line is wrong
    sleep $time

done
