To test the behavioral rules of Unreal Tournament (1999 or 2004 version) CTF game type, I want to make a bot in Java that is fully controllable.
No AI but a set of commands like jump, run to this point, etc. An evolutionary algorithm in real-time to evolve a sequence of movements, taking it to opponent's flag and back. No complex actions like shooting but rather avoid conflict. Main actions should be jump, run, rotate, move to.
Using gamebots API I seek tutorials/guidance on actually writing the bot and hooking it up to a genetic algorithm framework like Watchmaker. I have few conditions for a fitness function and ran into bot pathing. Do you know of any tutorials that may help me?
