I found this method of reconnecting the WIFI dongle from this post. But, I want to be clear on how it works, before I try and implement it.
Go to /etc/ifplugd/action.d/ and rename the ifupdown file to ifupdown.original. Then do: cp /etc/wpa_supplicant/ifupdown.sh ./ifupdown. Finally: sudo reboot
/etc/ifplugd/action.d/
ifupdown
ifupdown.original
cp /etc/wpa_supplicant/ifupdown.sh ./ifupdown
sudo reboot
/etc/ifplugd/action.d/ifupdown
/etc/wpa_supplicant/ifupdown.sh
