When I first heard about the ArcGIS Desktop Professional Certification, I was interested in obtaining this. I took the practice exam but did not do too well since there were many questions pertaining to aspects of GIS I simply do not use. I saw that there was a 2-day online course for $1k to bring me up to speed but I did not that find economical. I see that there is a study guide book for the Associate Desktop but not the Professional Desktop Certification.
I decided to take the wait-and-see approach and now that it is about 3 years later, I would like to know what people think of this certification. Those of you that have received it, was it worth it? How did you prepare for it? Did you take the course or did you have enough knowledge to pass on your own?
