d feature that make text APPEAR thick is Bold.Bold is a FORMATTING feature in all the Microsoft Office Applications that MAKES the text appear thicker so that it's gets highlighted.We use this option when we wish to make a part of our text stand out, in a PARAGRAPH or the whole document.Bold feature may also be used to emphasize on headings and sub-headings in a document.The feature can be located on the ribbon. Go to the Home tab --> Font group  is the group where this option can be easily located as a 'B'.
