200 =3×66 +2, and 500 = 3×166 +2, and HENCE expectedly there are 166–66 =100 multiples of 3 between 200 and 500. Similarly 200 = (12×16)+8 and 500 = (12×41)+8, and so there are 41 -16 =25 multiples of 12 between 200 and 500, each of which also happens to be multiples of 3 also.
