The most important thing to do is to find out how long the water will be shut off. You or our manager should be able to find that out through your building services or the plumber.
Work off those timescales. Either wait for the supply to come back or work from home if possible, or temporarily obtain access to the other building without having to call someone.
Everything depends on how quickly this can be fixed.

To use the restroom we have to call someone in a building a quarter mile away so they can let us into that building (we don't have access normally).
What are my rights, options, if I have any?
