FCI: Food Corporation of India
The full form of FCI is “Food Corporation of India“. The Food Corporation of India (FCI) is a government body in India that deals with the purchase, sale and distribution of food grains across the country. FCI is created and run by the Government of India and also run by state Governments. It is a statutory body under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India. It Its vision is to ensure food security for citizens of the country. The key products of this organization are Wheat and Rice. FCI is believed to be the largest supply chain management in Asia. FCI is founded in 1965 and its headquarter is located in New Delhi, India. As of Feb 2020, Sh. D. V. Prasad, IAS is the Chairman and Managing Director of FCI.

- Uniform distribution of foodgrains for Public Distribution System (PDS)
