LoginSolve : Mac Problem?

I have an iMac G3 with Mac OS 9 (yeah I know, dinosaur...) It actually runs OK, but when TRYING to install QUICKTIME 6 or iTunes 2, it says "disk error, cannot launch" Anyone have any ideas?
