Solve : video editing softwares?

hi all
i would like to know best video editing software available for my computer
Computer:
Intel (R)
Pentium(R)4CPU 1.50GHz
1.50GHz 512MB of RAMHave a look at this

i use the panasonic handy cam
Basically it depends on what kind editing are looking for. If just simply creating a simple movie, you can use Windows Movie maker. And also making sure that your computer meets the requirements of these editing softwares.

i simply plan to edit home made videos and certainly don't want to use Windows Movie Maker Nero now we need to know .... you rather have paid software or freeware /opensource?i would like to pay for the software i need!You could check the following links:

Although i do use their products i don't use the one that is reviewed so i cannot give a personal point of view on it. They are a company based in Germany.

This may be something else you should be looking at first.For today's world, I find that dual core processor is a necessity to be encoding faster and also a smoother computer usage while the burning process is going on.

My AMD Athlon64 single core PC ALMOST always hovers at high CPU usage when encoding or burning dvd, but you get the idea.... for me, it's tolerable but i'd want better obviously! could someone recommend some old version of of any software tht would run smoothly with my computer!
