DEFINES a clear boundary line between India and China.This line was determined by Sir Henry McMahon, then Foreign Secretary in the Government of British India. The length of this line is 890 kilometers. The states and UT sharing borders with India are Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Ladakh. McMahon was a British Indian Army officer and administrator in the British Raj.He was the foreign secretary of the British-run Government of India and the chief negotiator of the Simla Accord.McMahon PROPOSED the line in the Simla Accord to SEPARATE Tibet from India in the EASTERN sector.
