First things first, UPES has a name for its domain specific MBA and so the domain focused MBA are good. If you want to pursue MBA in oil and gas, power management or energy trading (in this order of ranking for ROI) then you can do wonders and will have good ROI. Other MBA courses are also industry specific but the placements for them are not good. The highest package for oil and gas, power and energy trading in the year 2015 were 14 lacs, 11 lacs and 10 lacs respectively, this year the highest for oil and gas and power is 8lacs and 7 lacs for ET till now and still many companies are in pipeline. Apart from this you will have a wide knowledge base to interact with while you are in UPES because of presence of law, management, engineering and design background students. If you are focusing on domain specific MBA then it's worth or else there are better options.
