You don't get to do B.Tech through distance education. B.Tech or BE are the courses that do not fall under the category of courses that can be studied through distance. You can take lateral admission and go for colleges that offer lateral entry admissions. There are also certain exams that are conducted for students who want to get admission in BE or B.Tech through lateral entry. Every other college has its own admission procedure and exams, go and search for which college you want to get in and what exam it conducts. Not every college offers B.Tech. Only universities, NITs and IITs offer B.Tech. (You need to know that there is a difference in B.Tech and BE). (Also you can't take lateral admission in IITs and NITs). All the best.
