Well, you may have a distance learning course along with a regular graduation, as the distance course in law anyways is not recognized as such and it serves only on paper and, thus makes no difference as such. Also, the requirements for a distance course in law need to be seen before enrolling, as sometimes you are not allowed to take a regular course simultaneously. Generally, you may pursue one, but keep in mind that it is not going to fetch you anything. While in India, as the Bar Council of India doesn’t recognize it and so does the UGC, therefore it is of no use, when it does not have any practical implications for you. So, I would advise you to pursue a regular course in law, if you want any results out of it. Else, if you just want it as an additional accolade, you may go ahead. Also, do check the eligibility before enrolling in any of the colleges for distance learning in law.

No, because if you want to have the benefit of both degrees in future, you won't be able to. You have to hide one of your degree and you can use only one for any job. Because, two degrees at one time is not acceptable for further admission in colleges for post-graduation. But, yes you can do law through distance learning for knowledge sake, but you can't use that degree in your professional career, until you don't tell about your other degree. Even if you do that, distance learning law is not recognized by BCI for any further career prospects. It is pretty much complex. Please stick to one at a time.
