Yes. Start preparing for CAT immediately after your 12th. The most important thing to be noted here is that having a strong aim in your mind. Free time solving of previous year questions will definitely help you when you appear for CAT. CAT is the toughest examination which you might face in your career. So start preparing from your schooling. Give importance while you prepare for the exam in following ways: 1. Work out aptitude questions with proper concentration and dedication. 2. Read Hindu newspaper and New Indian express newspaper daily. Note down important points. 3. Revise each week you studied frequently. 4. Try to ask students who cleared CAT about their preparation. 5. Try to join one of the best coaching institute like Trumpient Institute of management education TIME. So, my opinion is that you should start preparing from 12th itself.

Yes, you should. Since the eligibility criteria is graduation only, your early beginning for preparation will help you score well right in your first attempt. Also, a close watch on news, English language and GK will give you an edge during GD- PI- What process.

It's good that you have a vision in your life at such an early age. I would recommend the following points assuming you will stay firm on the chosen career path: Work hard and score as much as you can (80+), the reason being that academics matter a lot in getting shortlisted for IIM. B.Sc is a good option to pursue; go for a field you are interested in. Since you are a biology student, you have a wide range of career opportunities to explore. Gather knowledge and understanding of business management which would eventually lead you to the reasons for doing MBA. You can start CAT preparations (assuming it would be CAT 19) in the second year. Where and how to seek guidance, worry about that once you are through with the first year. A tip: some might say B.Sc. before MBA is an odd combination and that too when you realise the career path so early. Remember, degree is only a paper to certify your knowledge. Moreover, expertise in multiple domains is always beneficial and gives an upper edge. All the best!

CAT format changes every year. But make sure you have strengthen you concepts of Maths and logical reasoning as these two remain same. And also start reading English Articles ready. These things will build your basics and it will be easy for you to get higher CAT scores.
