B.Tech course in Jain University is provided by IIAEM. According to the students there, here is a list of the pros and cons of joining the programme including placement stats in the CONS. Pros: You can overwhelmingly say I'm from the aerospace branch. If you have a lot of money you can spend on building some quadcopter and RC flights. Cons: 1.High tuition fee for the aerospace branch, hostel fee (but it has the best hostel in Karnataka). 2.Around 97.5% of people join aerospace just because of its name, there you are not going to learn anything. 3.Only 1 maybe 2 companies visit for campus recruitment and only 1 or 2 may get selected. 4. Ony 5-7% of the people get placed in general. 5. You will end up doing some testing IT job or low-level management job or some BPO job.

The course at Jain University is offered by International Institute of Aerospace Engineering and Management, which makes it one of a kind in itself among all the aerospace colleges present in India. This certainly gives students an advantage for better course curriculum and academics, but you cannot better placements just because of this. Let me start by giving you the pros and cons for placements at Jain University: Pros: It is one of best among the aerospace engineering private colleges in India. Cons: The college fails to attract aerospace engineering companies. The overall batch placement is just 5-7% in core companies. The percent of aerospace engineering students working in IT companies is 80%. If you are not among the toppers for aerospace brach, you are probably going to end up in a BPO or a marketing firm. The average placement for the same is around 3.5-4 lacs and the highest being 7 lacs. With this, you must think twice before taking admission in this college.

The B.Tech course in aerospace engineering at Jain University is said to be unique, and it is so because of the way the syllabus is structured. The course is at par with the premier institutions since the salient features of their courses have been incorporated into their own syllabus. There definitely is a lot to learn, as the two approaches taken by the faculty are from the perspective of the Research and Development unit (R&D) and the Production wing. The various opportunities that open up off campus are in Research, Design and Development, Marketing, Field Service, Software Development and Teaching. While all of this may seem lucrative, there are no opportunities in the field of Aerospace Engineering on campus, due to the low number of companies in the said field, in India. The job offers available here are pertaining to the Information Technology (IT) sector. These companies offer you an average salary of about 3-4.5 lakhs per annum. It would, therefore, be wise to take up computer science, if you want an on campus placement. Do not worry, though, because you can still take the GATE exam and apply for your desired job, after the B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering. Do a bit of research on this, though, before taking the next step. Do let us know if there's anything more we can help you with. All the best!
