How are the placements of B.Tech in Biotechnology from HIT, Kolkata?

Heritage College of Engineering, Kolkata is a very good college for biotechnology but the thing is that if placement is the sole criteria on which you want me to give analysis of the college, then I must tell you that the college is just an average college and you will be disappointed to know, almost 50-60% of the total batch of biotechnology students end up in IT companies, marketing firms, and banking sector jobs, where you would get nothing more than 4 LPA. The thing for which the college is known for is, the faculty members or the professors here have earned a really good reputation in India as well as abroad and so if you think of doing M.Tech or MS from abroad, you really have a great chance of getting admission to some reputed foreign universities, with the help of the letters of recommendation that the faculty members of your college can provide you. You cannot expect an average placement of more than 4-5 LPA in chemical department of HIT Kolkata, including the core companies.
