Greetings from Shiksha. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras is among the top IITs and world's best Engineering Institutes. Since Computer Science Engineering is the best Branch among the every Engineering branches. So, it is very good to do Computer Science Engineering from IIT Madras. Placement of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Madras is almost 100%. And, the packages provided is also very good. The highest package provided to Computer Science Engineering is above 1 crore per Annum. The Reputed companies that visit IIT-Madras include Uber, Intel, Adobe, Cisco, Flipkart, Microsoft, Oracle, Reliance Group, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Ola Cabs, Samsung etc. The average package of Computer Science Engineering is around 20 to 25 lakhs per Annum, which is very good amount. Since this course has very good scope in terms of placement, research and further education, this course will always remain in high demand. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras is one of the best in India, providing quality education for decades. It gives an outstanding research environment complemented by perfection in teaching. The Department offers B.Tech, M.Tech., Ph.D. and Dual (M.Tech. + Ph.D.) degrees. The Department has a comprehensive curriculum on topics related to all aspects of Computer Hardware and Software with an importance on practical learning. Okay, this was about the branch. We are here to talk about placements. To no astonishment, IIT Madras CSE placements are one of the best in engineering. The most favored branch has excellent placements. There are tons of recruiters who are open for CSE, almost all. There are international tech giants which come to IIT Madras for hiring. To get an idea, let me name a few- Dell, Flipkart, Google, HP, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Oracle, ServiceNow, Snapdeal, Thornton Tomasetti, Visa Inc., Vodafone, Walmart, etc. The highest placement package for CSE is about 67 LPA in INR. The average domestic package is 16 LPA. The placement percentage is about 91%. So, you know it is a prudent choice.

IIT Madras is one of the well reputed institutions in India and one of the old iits. So it attracts lots of good companies for placements and the statistics are pretty good as such. For 2016 for CSE engineering 20 students registered for placements out of which 20 were placed (BE). The percentage of students placed was 100 percent as such. The packages offered for CSE Engineering students were in the range between 3 LPA to 84.32 LPA. The average package was above 10 LPA (approx.). Many students also opted for roles in Management, Finance and Consulting. If you see the placement report you will find many banks including Credit Suisse, Citicorp, Goldman Sachs, Axis, PwC etc. You can see big IT giants like google, Oracle, Paypal, Adobe, Microsoft, Xerox recruiting from IIT Madras.
