Dear, Actually for diploma engineering, you need Board certificate of 10th completion. For admission in polytechnic college you need to crack joint entrance exam. But if you completed + 2 with science you are eligible for Studying B.Tech. However, it is not bad if you study diploma after +2. After Diploma Engineering you can take lateral admission in 2nd year for B.Tech. Go ahead. Do sincerely, unhesitatingly. If you have passed 10th board exams then you are eligible for Diploma but you have passed 12th, so you are also eligible for B.Tech. So I would suggest you that go for B.Tech. You can write JEE exam for the same. Good luck!
