If you are set on making your career in law and only law, then you can give it a second chance,but not more than that as there is a lot of competition

Yes, if your aim is only law and a best law college. so you should drop a year. however its not compulsory, if you are intelligent much and prepared for CLAT so you don't need to do this. all the best for CLAT.

I won't personally suggest but it's worth only when you give your 100%. If a student start preparing in his 11th or 12th then he can do well in his first attempt.

Yes, it is totally worth and if you get through CLAT in the drop year it will be awesome. Many people do the same. If one can afford to drop a year for JEE, why not for CLAT. It has its own charm.

If you are very much dedicated to study law then go for a drop otherwise take another course which interests you.

Well, do not think of dropping a year for preparation, it is easy you can prepare side to side, though if you drop to get into Tier 1 NLU, then it is worth. If you fail to qualify the exam, just take admission into DU and then go for a 3-year law, it will take the same time.
