In my opinion, you should opt for mechanical engineering in IIT-Indore because IIT-Indore has experienced mechanical engineering faculty members and good course curriculum.

Mechanical is evergreen branch. P&I is combination of mechanical engineering and management studies in IIT, Roorkee with recent average placement around Rs.12 lakh p.a. You can enjoy the great campus life of IITR and you know being in old IIT matters most.
