Hi IIT, IISC, IISER, ISRO , JNU etc are excellent for research if you are planning to work in India or abroad as these are world known. The only benefit you get abroad is the global exposure and excellent updated research labs. You hv a chance there to discuss and present your ideas to the industrialists and integrate your P.hd if its worth it.
