There is no provision for admission in lateral entry after completing a diploma for the course of Bachelor in computer application. Any diploma that you pursue, it being a technical diploma after completing your 12th can allow some scope of entry in the B.Tech course or other short-term engineering courses such as ITI. However, BCA degree programs have strict eligibility criteria. The basic eligibility for the course is 12th with 45% pass marks and the admissions depend on either the merit list of the college or the entrance exam results for admission of students.

Being a Diploma holder in computer engineering, you are not eligible to get admission for pursuing BCA course. But, you are eligible to get direct admission in the second year of BE or B.Tech in computer engineering course through lateral entry admission process after completion of your Diploma in computer engineering course.
