There is no difference between MBA and PGDM. Syllabus of bothe the degrees is similar. In India only universities can award degrees. Therefore, B Schools which are not affiliated to any university award PGDM. AIU publishes list of PGDM which are treated equivalent to MBA for higher studies. Both degrees are equally accepted in job market.

MBA and PGDM are both management courses yet the only difference is the approach to its curriculum. MBA give more focus to the syllabus framed by the university and no change is bought in for years. As for PGDM the focus is more on the current industrial demands and requirements. The curriculum of PGDM gets slightly changed every year.

Both are same, both are Masters degrees. MBA is a 2-year UGC recognised Masters degree, which is useful for doing PhD further, while PGDM is not a UGC recognised degree. It may cause some problems for doing PhD while PGDM has better demand in the market for good placements.

Both are management courses. MBA degree is offered by universities or their affiliations. PGDM is given by private colleges. In today's trend, PGDM is more suitable as it is up to date with the recent trends of the market and has more practical knowledge when compared to MBA which has the old and unchanged course pattern and objective.
