There is not much difference between MBA and PGDM programs. In India only Universities can award MBA degree. Universities and colleges affiliated to universities which award MBA management degree follow syllabus approved by University. Syllabus doesn't have flexibility for educational changes to align with industry requirements as approval process are long and bureaucratic in universities. B-Schools which are independent and award PGDM have liberty to modify their syllabus easily. Industry value some PGDM degree more than MBAs. You must identify your MBA/ PGDM Institute by its brand image, Faculty, Facilities, placement records, Alumni Network etc NOT by nomenclature of degree.
