You didn’t score well in BE. It is quite evident that you are not good in engineering subjects or you have less interest in engineering. If you think that you are good in engineering, and due to some reason you didn't score well in BE, then prepare for GATE. Even if you score well in GATE, you may not get a seat in IISC, IITs, NITs or BITs due to the eligibility criteria (60 % and above requirement in BE or B.Tech). According to me, you should opt for MBA in a good management college.

Choose any course wisely keeping your interest in your mind. Both courses give you ample of opportunities and have their own importance and need. If you are technically sound and has flair for technology then go for M.Tech else do MBA. You need to qualify any entrance test (such as CAT / MAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ CMAT / GMAT/ NEST and should also have min of 50% to 55% in your Bachelors. You can do MBA in any specializations of your interest. Some Good Colleges are: IIMS, Xavier's Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur (accepts XAT) Lovely Professional University, Punjab (accepts/CAT/MAT/XAT/LPUNEST) Department of Management Studies.

If you feel you can contribute further to the growing world of technology after the completion of an M.Tech, M.Tech may be preferred. If you are confident of your skills as a manager, wish to jump to some middle or higher management level and the aim to climb the corporate ladder then MBA is not a bad choice.
