Decreasing order is as: CSE, IT, SOFTWARE, MECHANICAL. But, nowadays, software is not as good as was before 3 years. So, I suggest you not to choose software or mechanical. Better to choose CSE or IT.

Engineering itself is a highly pronounced technical field, which is divided into various other fields. Two such fields are computer science engineering and mechanical engineering. When it comes to the software world, computer science engineering rules and when it comes to the core world, you can rely on mechanical engineering. If you are interested in computer applied field, you can go for computer science and if working with engines and modelling suits you the best, then you must opt for mechanical. There is no gender restriction for admission to either of these fields. Both the streams have bright scope, provided you score well and come out with no history of arrears. All the best.
