Finally, think about what would you like to work on for rest of your life, if sitting in front of a computer for entire day and coding excites you, go for CS. If you are more into network theory, diodes, signal transmission, go for ECE. If you are getting the same branch in both Trichy and Warangal, go for NIT-Trichy.

In 2015, the percentage of students placed was 95 percent. For the CSE department, it was 95 percent in 2016 and 90 percent in 2017. The average salary for CSE engineering lies around Rs 12 lakhs (approx.). Moreover, some students also opt for roles in IT/CS, Consulting, Financial marketing, management as such. In these sectors, we have some really big names like Amazon, Google, Facebook in tech and Credit Suisse, EY, PWC, Morgan Stanley, Delloite in Finance/management role. The dedicated training and placement cell of NIT, Trichy is highly known for its rankings given below:Highest package was 88 LPA by Google. Ranked 12th among 'Top 100 Engineering Institutes for Research and Teaching' in India by National Institutional Ranking Framework (MHRD) in 2016.

NIT, Warangal is great but ranks bit lower than Trichy. Average salary is similar, but infrastructure and faculty is world class like Harvard and Stanford's. Hence, NIT Trichy is the better option for CSE engineering.

NIT-Trichy has been top NIT for a while now. NIT-Trichy is ranked 11 according to the MHRD rankings while NIT-Warangal is ranked at 34. But the question asked bothers me more. We can't compare two different branches in different colleges. Actually comparing different branches from the same college is also not a good idea. Branch is not a thing which can be termed as good or bad or better than other. Branch should be chosen only on basis of one's personal interest and passion for it. If you don't know which one's better suited for you, I would recommend to going to college's website and comparing the curriculum of both the branches. It will surely help you in making a decision. Seeing what subjects you will be studying for the next 4 years will give you a fair idea whether you like a branch or not. For detailed curriculum of NIT Warangal's branches visit:
