_x000D_ _x000D_ Usually I would expect a String.contains() method, but there doesn't seem to be one. What is a reasonable way to check for this?

_x000D_ ES6 introduced String.prototype.includes: _x000D_ _x000D_ var string = "foo",_x000D_ substring = "oo";_x000D_ _x000D_ console.log(string.includes(substring));_x000D_ _x000D_ includes doesn’t have IE support, though. In an ES5 or older environment, String.prototype.indexOf, which returns −1 when it doesn’t find the substring, can be used instead: _x000D_ _x000D_ var string = "foo",_x000D_ substring = "oo";_x000D_ _x000D_ console.log(string.indexOf(substring) !== -1);_x000D_ _x000D_
